Ongoing artist rendition of J.Grant Brittain’s iconic “Push” photo of Tod Swank circa 1987.

Here we have new art by Andy Jenkins. Tod Swank and Andy became friends through the zine world of the 80’s and skateboarding. Andy had a zine called Bend Zine among others and featured Lettus Bee throughout (featured on this new board release). Andy and Tod exchanged zines, ideas and fun. Andy is featured in Foundation’s first video ever from 1991 called Glam Boys on Wheels: Too Cool to Skate. “I am honored and grateful to know Andy. It’s a dream come true to have him do this version of another one of my hero’s, J. Grant Brittain’s infamous “Push” image,” - Tod Swank.

Each deck is hand screened and numbered, limited to 100 pieces, made in the USA at Watson Laminates.

Andy Jenkins is a multidisciplinary artist, artistic director and creative conduit. He orchestrates and collaborates with outstanding multi-media artists to generate innovative results, helping elevate brands, those involved, and, ultimately, the people who will see, use and be inspired by the outcome.

He’s spent the following decades working in and around magazines, as an editor, writer, illustrator and graphic artist, with his two best friends and partners, Mark Lewman and Spike Jonze. The three co-created lifestyle magazines, Homeboy and Dirt (brother to Sassy magazine). The list of other publications Jenkins invaded includes, BMX Action, Transworld Skateboarding & Snowboarding, Poweredge, Snowboarder, Warp, Raygun, Level, Big Brother, Monster Children and Grand Royal.

In 1994 he went to work for the Girl Skateboard Company as art director, and later, the creative director, where he helped guide the multi-brand company (including Girl, Chocolate, Fourstar Clothing, Royal Trucks and Lakai Footwear) into becoming one of the most beloved and influential institutions in skateboarding. It is at Girl that he founded the infamous Art Dump collective, featuring the artists that contributed to all the Girl brands over the years.

Jenkins is an inductee of The Colorado Institute of Art Hall of Fame, and currently sits on the voting committees for both the skateboarding (IASC) and BMX (USA BMX) Hall of Fame.

Previous artist renditions include Henry Jones, Jim Houser, Kevin Wilkins, Terminal Radness, Ramsey Dau...more
